It was cloudy and cool, so there weren’t any boats out in the harbor to see but it still made for some nice shots.

The candy/ice cream store was fun to pop into and got a little something for our neighbors who were keeping an eye on our house. We also stopped in the Ben Franklin to see what that was all about. We bought some yarn.

We had an early supper so there was no wait at Sven and Ole’s. Good pizza. The kids got the usual pepperoni, Bill split half the kids’ pizza making his the Uffda Zah. I was about to settle for that when, scanning over the menu, I saw the Vild Vun! Canadian bacon, wild rice, black olives, green peppers, and onions. Not weird! Good!!!

We didn’t get a bumper sticker. We’re not really the bumper sticker kind of family. But we did get ice cream! They have that there, too.

  1. Corey and I ate pizza at Sven and Ole's after backpacking on the Superior Trail a few years ago. Your pics bring back memories. Grand Marais is beautiful!
